Gate Repair
Sagging leaves, worn hinges and rollers, bent tracks and latches that no longer catch. A gate that drags is usually a post or a hinge, not the motor people tend to blame.
The posts, hinges, rollers and latch get checked before any part is swapped, so the repair fixes the cause.

New Gates
Swing and sliding gates for driveways, walkways and commercial lots, hung on posts set in concrete.
The job starts with the opening’s width, the slope of the drive and the way the gate should move, then the posts, then the gate itself.

Gate Openers
Swing-arm, underground and sliding-gate operators, wired, set and tested, and burned-out operator motors replaced.
A gate that stops halfway or reverses for no reason is traced through the limit settings, the wiring and the sensors before anyone blames the motor.

Keypads and Intercoms
Keypads, intercoms and remotes programmed so the right people get through and nobody else does.
Codes are changed when too many people know them, lost remotes are cleared, and a crackling intercom is traced to its wiring or its station.

Gate Maintenance
A service visit tightens and lubricates hinges and rollers, cleans the track, resets drifting limits and tests the sensors and the auto-reverse.
Gates that get looked at before they fail rarely strand anyone in the driveway.

Second time we've used Haisley. Our driveway gate stopped opening Saturday and I figured the motor was shot. A handyman came by and said I needed a whole new operator. Monday the tech from Haisley found a loose limit switch and a corroded wire in about ten minutes. Gate works fine now and I'm glad I got a second look before buying a whole operator I didn't need.
Our gate kept stopping halfway and reversing, and I was expecting a big repair. The Haisley tech took his time and found the safety sensors were just out of alignment and one had a cracked lens. He had a replacement on the truck and we were done within the hour. Wish the service call counted toward the repair, but still a very fair price. They're my first call.
Really impressed. Our automatic gate quit on a Tuesday morning with both our cars stuck inside the driveway. This tech tested it, found a bad capacitor, and had it running the same afternoon. He didn't rush and he cleaned up after himself too. Will be calling him again.
Our swing gate had sagged so badly it was dragging on the driveway and wouldn't latch. I called on a Wednesday and the tech was out Thursday morning. He knew right away the hinges were worn out. Cost a bit more than I expected, but he walked me through why and it seemed fair. He also showed me what to watch for. Gate closes clean now. Thank you!
Our sliding gate opener died last week. The tech came out the next morning and replaced the control board, then noticed the chain was stretched and swapped that out too. It's quieter now than it's been since we moved in, which I honestly didn't expect. Friendly guy, explained everything as he went and the price was fair. Already passed their name to my neighbor.
Henry built us a new wood privacy gate for the backyard and it looks great. He got back to us quickly, gave a fair quote and started within two weeks. He set the posts in concrete and it swings perfectly. It took an extra day because he let the concrete cure before hanging it. Hard to complain about that. Would definitely recommend.
Started in Ann Arbor in 2014
Henry Richardson started Haisley Gate Services in 2014. The work runs from freeing one stuck gate to setting posts and hanging a new entrance gate with an operator, for homeowners, property managers and small business owners in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Saline and Dexter.
Most gate trouble has a plainer cause than it seems. A gate that drags is often a sagging post or a worn hinge, and slow openers, random stops and sensors that trip for no reason usually come down to alignment, wiring or a limit setting that has drifted. Finding that cause comes first; the gate is tested again before the job is called finished.

Call About Your Gate
Say what the gate does, when it does it and roughly how old it is. That is enough to start.
Honest about what it actually needed and didn't try to sell me anything extra.
